Our guest today, Kate T. Parker is a mother to two daughters, a wife, an iron man, and a professional photographer and director, who shoots both personal projects and commercial work for her clients. Her work has been featured in Huffington Post, O Magazine, A Mighty Girl, Vogue Redbook, New York Magazine, CNN, Vanity Fair, Italy, Good morning America, among many others. Her speaking engagements have included SXSW and TEDx and her clients include many of the names that we all recognize – Uber, Lululemon, American Express. Verizon, the NFL, and Mercedes Benz.

Kate is also the New York Times Bestselling author of Strong is The New Pretty.The book led to several collaborations with big brands such as Disney, Athleta, Oxygen and Kellogg’s and also inspired Kate to launch a philanthropic venture which partners with organizations to invest in health and education programs for children. Kate is also the author of Strong is the New Pretty, the Guided Journal, The Heart of a Boy and Play Like a Girl. She has a BA in communication from Wake Forest University and she’s here today to talk about her latest book, Force of Nature: A Celebration of Girls and Women Raising their Voices is the topic of this episode.
