Many Parents would argue that keeping track of teens and their tech use is the greatest challenge of parenting this generation — and they wouldn’t be wrong. For starters, many of us spend a lot of time negotiating (Read: arguing) screen time with our kids, and we often find ourselves walking the fine line of trying to respect our kids’ online privacy while also trying to protect them from the various threats they face on social media and elsewhere through their connectivity.
And so this week’s blog post is focused on teens and tech — and what we, as parents, need to know and understand about how our kids are engaging online so we can best protect and parent them on these issues.
Additionally, I’ve included an article with definitions on gender and sexuality in 2019 so we can better converse with our kids on these topics as well.
Lastly, to lighten the mood — I’ve shared a list of the 30 best family films so you can get a leg up on your next family movie night.
